DOWNTON ABBEY gets fun.

Years, ago I had a friend point out that when you watch a Three Stooges short, if you only focus on what Larry is doing, the entire experience becomes much more awesome. Prove me wrong:

If you are tired of DOWNTON ABBEY, pick any character, say…I don’t know, how bout Edith? Now picture her looking like the ending of Roger Rabbit and viola!

TERRY GILLIAM AND NOODLES

Monty Python mad genius Terry Gilliam has a new(ish) short film available online. It is called, “The Wholly Family,” and it is reliably sweet, twisted and nightmarish. It’s is ostensibly about how family squabbles should get settled.

Anyone who knows Gilliam’s past work knows that he has had a hard time balancing commerce with his own creativity, and has often lost film projects by battling producers, actors, death, acts of God, actual God, etc. Well, this time, the Garofolo Pasta company gave him the money and the free reigns to make his film his way, or it was just that the two hour version was taken away from him in editing. Anyway, here it is:
