New year, new stuff. So I’ve changed from “What I Found Today,” to “Something I Learned Today,” or “SIFT.” I always thought that there was something funny about the acronym “WIFT,” as in “whiffed” as in my sports career. “Always” turned out to be only two years. The internet is a big place and if I have “found” something, so have a million undoubtably cooler people before me, and who needs that? So, SILT. Much better. Plus, the new title reminds me of this. Anyway, enjoy.
DAVID LETTERMAN AND MICHAEL KEATON HAD TO PAY THEIR BILLS IN THE SEVENTIES
I found this through this:
I had forgotten this was a Paul McCartney song (ok Wings, but still). I thought it was from some Broadway show. You see, this is what the 70’s did to people. We didn’t want diversity, we wanted variety. And boyo, we got it. I doubt there is any actor or comedian over the age of 50 who does not have at least one or two of these hiding in the closet. I love how Letterman’s face says it all, Keaton’s face says he’s trying and Mary Tyler Moore is just putting on a show like a pro. That is also Dick Shawn, Swoozie Kurtz and James “Dad of Teen Wolf” Hampton in the chorus. Show business.
Speaking of, how about a little TEEN WOLF WANG?
The extra with extra. I bet this plays a thousand times everyday on TV’s everywhere.
MIKE’S MOVIE MEMORIES

and speaking of Teen Wolf:
